15 Reasons You Should Be Blogging from Jessica Northey
TUCSON,AZ-Microblogging sites like Twitter and Facebook are popular because they are easy. Easy to setup, easy to post links and pictures, takes less than a minute to use, requires no organized thought, prep or investigation. It’s just 140 characters. However, if you are serious about sharing your ideas, beliefs and building a stronger relationship with others, than you need to add full-on blogging to your marketing tools. You can also use blogging to provide more content to your Tweeting, Linking and FeeBing (Facebooking). Here are the reasons why I think everyone should be Blogging consistently:
1.) Blogging shows what you are about along with your passion and ideas about what you do.
2.) You can bounce ideas off others and get feedback about projects you are working on.
3.) You provide content to the rest of the web. I have my blog picked up by news feeds sometimes as well as using others blogs to get my point across.
4.) Let people get to know you more than they would in short sentence or 140 character limitations.
5.) It seems to automatically legitimize thoughts and processes.
6.) Helps give valuable Search Engine Optimization to your ideas for years.
7.) Microblogging sites can aggregate where your ideas will be looked at in greater detail.
8.) You are in control of what you write about.
9.) You can get great analytics from your blog to see what sites are feeding it.
10.) If you have varied interests you can bring them all together in your blog.
11.) You can monetize on your blog if you bring traffic to it.
12.) Great flexibility with appearance, plug ins and gadgets.
13.) You can form your own Broadcast media monologue.
14.) The ability for readers to leave comments in an interactive format.
15.) Can be used for personal development, business progress or to provide education.
