When Fitz stormed into The Emerald City in 2005 at Scott Mahalick's CMR start-up 100.7 The Wolf, no one knew what an overnight sensation he would be. I equate him to a Country Music Radio Ryan Seacrest. If he hosted a national Country talent show, it would be huge. He plugs into the pulse of the city and is no man behind the curtain in Seattle, he is the great and powerful FITZ.
Entercom decided to put his show on in real time on KBWF (95.7 The Wolf) in San Francisco and from FTC'S FIRST EAR ON FITZ, judge for yourself it sounds great. Taking in to account PPM mechanics and listener driven, creative and entertaining radio.
I don't know what or who you're listening to, but Fitz in the morning fizzles with the same old tired tricks of the trade. He may be king of Seattle but San Francisco's a whole different country animal.
ReplyDeleteThe entire show is a dumbed down version of even the most contrived day of Ryan Seacrest. The cast of characters might as well be a canned laugh track. Mary's talents are completely squandered under the overblown ego of Fitz.
All Entercom has done is save themselves 2 large salaries and taken away an opportunity to bring in some fresh country talent. Shame on you for both counts.
Until this Fitz phenom fails, san Francisco is burdened with just another mediocre morning show.
Fitz in the Morning! LOVE THEM! It's the only way I start my day! They put a smile on my face and get me laughing first thing in the morning! Mary is way too cute and I love Mary's Diary! I love them and so does my 3 year old daughter!
ReplyDeleteWhat are you kidding me???? Fitz in the Morning is a fresh, upbeat, fun show. They have done a fantastic job in Seattle. They keep me laughing all morning long. What are you kidding me? Is by far one of my favorite segments? It’s the dynamic of Mary, Tony and Fitz that keeps the show rolling and fun for everyone. Thrilled that San Fran now has a great Morning show to listen to!
ReplyDeleteSan Fransisco is lucky to have Fitz in the morning! Fitz, Mary and Tony are loved by everyone in Puget Sound and it's bound to happen in Cali. They are anything but the typical morning show.
ReplyDeletewoohoo! Go Fitz. I've listened to the show in SF and it's good! Can't tell that he's on in Seattle too. And what a compliment to be compared to Seacrest. He's super popular with good ratings, so he must be doing something right! Go Fitzy!!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't be happier that Fitz is on in San Fran too. His talent is amazing. He engages his audience and keeps them listening. That man is going to go far! Smart move on Entercom's part.
ReplyDeleteYou have to be very special and talented to get a gig in San Francisco or Seattle drive time. Don't be a hater. Fitz is the real deal.
