Prized players

Jessica and I were catching up this week and we both agreed this would be a great article: 'The amount of programmers, air talent and support staff who aren't the most talented, but survive cuts and terminations because they have a great attitude and work hard'.

They are the first ones to raise their hands to work longer and harder than anyone.

They become keepers and sacred cows to market managers. Where else in this economy (I hate this term) are radio stations going to find a player like this, who will voice track for the other stations, do production, set-up and do a remote and still find more to do?

I believe it's better to have more of these kinds of employees than lazy air talent that have been there and done that.

Hats off to our new breed of prized players.
