Official title for work? Great question. I don't think they have a title for everything I do. lol
Where are you answering these questions from right now? My home studio.
What are you wearing right now? Shorts and a t-shirt. That's why I don't do TV.
How did you get started in Broadcasting? My dad was in it. I fell in love with the studio.
What are 3 items you CAN NOT live without? My fiancé, my son and my headphones.
Favorite item of clothing/jewelry/accessory? Why? I'm addicted to watches. They are to me what purses or shoes are to women. I guess because my life is a balancing act with time.
Have you ever been in a fight? Yeah, with my best friend in high school. We both got suspended for 3 days. He worked at Dairy Queen on the weekend and I'd never go there...afraid of what he'd do to my peanut buster parfait.
What is the first thing you think of when you wake up in the morning? How much time til my first show needs to be in!
What kind(s) of car do you drive? I drive a BMW X6. It was my reward for working 10 hour days.
Is there anything that you regret? Honestly, no. Even the bad moves I've made in my life got me where I am today...and I couldn't be happier to be here.
What are your fondest childhood memories? In your house? In your neighborhood or town? Probably hanging out with my brothers. I hate that we're all so busy now and have sort of grown apart.
What current event has your eyes and ears? And what are you doing about it? I'm pretty aware of just about every current event out there. I think we have to be, to be able to relay it to our listeners. I'm not an activist, though. I don't have the energy. lol
How do you use Social Media in your industry for productivity? Social media is taking over. I'm in better contact with my listeners through Facebook and Twitter than I could ever be on the air. We chat during awards shows, big sporting events...or, if I just sitting out back grilling. I love being that connected to people I share my thoughts with on the radio.
What is your favorite website? Mine! lol. Actually, I couldn't narrow it down to just one. I get a lot of information from a lot of places. That being said, I'm still a guy and always head to espn.com first.
If you had a Super Power what would it be? Mind reading, for sure. Too many people are afraid to be honest these days. Everyone says what they think you want to hear...or, they just don't say anything. It would save a lot of time and energy to just get directly to their thoughts.
Which famous people do you admire? Why? How's this for odd...Justin Timberlake. The guys has a ton of talent and I'm constantly surprised and impressed with him. What a great sense of humor, too!
What is your favorite movie? Why "Old School." I've never had a movie make me laugh as much as that one did. I've watched it a hundred times and still giggle like a 14 year old. I'm not into serious, dramatic movies...I think we have enough of that in our daily lives.
Favorite snack? Why? Black licorice. I love the taste and I normally don't have to worry about someone asking for some. :)
How do you balance your work with other obligations - mate, children, hobbies? I don't know that you can really balance this job. It really dictates what we do on the weekends (concerts, station events...) but when my schedule is clear, we love to sit under an umbrella table out back and have some wine. Nice and quiet. Just the opposite of my workday.
Do you get nervous about anything? I still get nervous when I go on stage. People are surprised by that but I didn't get into radio to be a stage performer. I love the intimacy of the studio and will always be uncomfortable out of it.
Do you have a ritual before you go on the air? I always go straight my studio and start loading logs from the stations I'm on. Then, while they're loading, I print off show prep, make my coffee and let the dog out. Isn't that exciting?!?
If you could meet anyone in the world dead or alive who would it be, and what would say to them?
What is your hobby or do you collect anything? Why? I love golf and also clay shooting. I just bought a new 12 gauge and wore my arm out last weekend. It's a great stress reliever.
What chore to you hate? Why? Taking the dishes out of the dishwasher. You'd think it was the toughest job on the planet...and I'll leave them in there for days. In fact, a lot of times I end up having to re-wash them.
Do you have an animal/s? What kind/s? Names? Just one dog. She's a Shih Tzu named Lexi and she's spoiled rotten.
Fruits or Vegetables? Vegetables! I honestly think I could be a vegetarian...if meat didn't taste so damn good.
Mac or PC? Mac! I've got a Mac Notebook, iPhone, iPad, Apple TV...I'm obsessed.
Ginger or Mary Ann? Why? Both. Life's too short to just please one.
Craziest thing you have ever done? I almost got thrown out of a comedy club once. I was joking with my table while the comedian was on stage. Turns out, comedians don't' like that. He started railing on my in his set. I'd had several cocktails and thought, if I could just get on stage, I could explain to him that I'm really not a bad guy and it was all a misunderstanding. They weren't amused with me trying to get on stage and had security escort me out. Oh, and it was a station event. Ah, to be young and stupid.
