We're slowly moving to an oldies format if we don't breathe in new life to our format. And our format has an identity...it's just lost. People should know it's a country station that they are listening to when they listen...at least a higher percentage of the time.RAILGRASPhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08327474359072725986noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8986003228637384953.post-29068809955160004332009-09-02T16:03:05.951-07:002009-09-02T16:03:05.951-07:00Rex MCneill made a comment about your note "A...Rex MCneill made a comment about your note "AN OPEN LETTER TO ALL FTC READERS From a Former PD":

Maybe we can just play the top 10 every hour....bore the audience to death. Can you have the above without taking chances? Probably....but it is a slow slide to death. So, you can maintain until it becomes clear that you have to be replaced (oops) or you can take chances, push quality and listener experience. Many in radio are doing this as they can, of course. But....it is difficult to watch all the "maintaining" while risk is looked down upon. Everyone longs for more.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8986003228637384953.post-70357800326614399912009-09-02T10:27:52.650-07:002009-09-02T10:27:52.650-07:00Chip Miller made a comment about your note "A...Chip Miller made a comment about your note "AN OPEN LETTER TO ALL FTC READERS From a Former PD":

Well said!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8986003228637384953.post-46009198891936731392009-09-02T09:00:34.842-07:002009-09-02T09:00:34.842-07:00Why do PD's always complain about playin' ...Why do PD's always complain about playin' a tried & true hitlist? Play the top 7 songs heavy & give the next 18 light rotation & then hit em with established power recurrents.(at least 2 to 3X's per hour.) Also a tight gold list. Then make sure you are local 24/7! If you are playing a broad list I guarantee you your competition will rip your heart out!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
